We pride ourselves in providing a high standard of accommodation in our friendly rural B & B in the beautiful Machars Peninsula. We are surrounded by open countryside with long distance views to the Galloway Hills. You will find that this area has something for everyone be it sight seeing or just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful countryside

Our cottage dates from 1847 when it was built as a pair of semi-detached cottages for agricultural workers. Since then it has been converted into one with the original cottages linked at the rear by a conservatory. This gives guests the benefit of their own entrance door so that they can come and go as they please. We have a family room, a double room and a twin room. All are ensuite with showers, thermostatic radiators, tea/coffee making facilities and freeview television. Our sunny conservatory at the rear serves as a private guests' lounge and breakfast room and overlooks landscaped gardens with pool and waterfall. Free wired internet access is available here. Ample private parking and secure storage for cycles.

We are open all year and offer discounted rates for stays of three nights or more. Our rates are £30 per person per night including full Scottish breakfast. Regret that we do not have the facility to accept payment by credit cards, and we cannot accommodate pets. Because of the rural location, own transport is essential

Our conservatory which links the two original cottages together and provides a light and airy breakfast room/lounge.

Rear Garden

Our south facing rear garden which includes patio furniture and an ornamental waterfall and fish pond.

See and Do

Our quiet roads and easy to follow printed walks mean that this is an ideal area for walking and cycling. Walking can be just following the coastline or attempting the many fine hill walks in the area. Alternatively, many of our guests enjoy fishing and with three harbours just a few minutes drive away there is the opportunity to dinghy sail and canoe. Scotland is of course the home of golf and there are 6 courses within very easy reach with the nearest one - St Medans being just 10 minutes drive away and providing a challenging 9 holes.
